About Us

Our Diabetology Network is under Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) a not-for-profit Section 8, Schedule B, Public Sector Enterprise, set up by NBM, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India as an Interface Agency to strengthen and empower the emerging Biotech enterprise to undertake strategic research and innovation, addressing nationally relevant product development needs.

BIRAC is an industry-academia interface and implements its mandate through a wide range of impact initiatives, be it providing access to risk capital through targeted funding, technology transfer, IP management and handholding schemes that help bring innovation excellence to the biotech firms and make them globally competitive.

What we do?

Conducts and Supports Research on Diabetes Mellitus

DRI has been set up to obtain and record data about treatment and follow up of diabetes mellitus patients. It also has information of various treatment strategies followed and the complications associated with diabetes. Our goal is to initiate various research activities including clinical trials which can help us to provide better treatment opportunities and care to our patients. The organization invites volunteers from India as well as across the globe to participate in the research program.
